At TFAB we value how God has uniquely gifted every woman. We make disciples of Jesus by giving each woman opportunities to grow as a follower of Christ. We have a team of leaders who desire to love, serve, and care for the souls of the women at TFAB in several ways: casual events, deep Bible study, retreats, and an intentional community. It is all centered on the Gospel of Jesus and how he infiltrates and redeems every area of our lives.
From trail hikes to Saturday morning breakfasts to Christmas teas, TFAB events are a great way to dip your toe in the water and get to know one another. We usually schedule at least one event each month, and they are a fun, low-key time to take a break from our busy lives and connect with one another.
Studies and Retreats
We generally offer a fall and a winter/spring bible study in the morning and evening. These are usually in a video format with small group discussion time afterwards. In the past, we have facilitated studies by Matt Chandler and Jen Wilkins, to name a few.
We typically organize two retreats each year—one in the fall and one in the spring. The fall retreat usually involves a more formal teaching time/quiet time, while the spring retreat’s focus is on building community and sharing one another’s burdens.
The goal for this area of ministry (and really, all areas of ministry) is to escape the terminally casual relationships we tend to have, and to facilitate grace-driven, Christ-centered change in community in an authentic environment. Many of us live our lives virtually unknown. For those that desire it, we provide the environment and encouragement to build deep, meaningful relationships that allow us to know others more fully and be more fully known—the good, the bad and the ugly.
This area of ministry mainly involves Community Groups and Redemption Group. We also have smaller groups of 3-4 women who meet together regularly (R3 groups) and one-on-one counseling available.
